when he passed,
1st of March 2008 ,

Ken died, and they are still there for me.

The first meeting with Susan in NC.
we've had 2 year email and SKYPE
contact, she had no idea I was coming !!
She is such a lovely lovely friend !!
How Susan and I met.
we are both members of
www.crossstitchcrazy.yuku.com
after questions and answers, we started
emailing and later Skyping each other.
asking about our lives in our own
country, just womens talk.
My friend Dikkie and I made plans to
go on a 5 week trip through the States,
starting with a trip to Susan and Phil's
house.
but they didn't know I was coming, because
I had told her that Dikkie was going with Alex
her fiancee.
that was my first lie to her, after that I have
told her one lie after the other and Susan
(bless her) believed it all.
on the day we arrived at their house, I was
laying on the rear seat untill I thought it was
save to come out, Dikkie said hallo ,
Susan asked where Alex was.
I got out of the car and I heard a very loud
voice asking, IS THAT HENNY ?
(how did she see me so quickly ??)
Dikkie answered, I DON'T KNOW !!
an other lie er was born !!
we hugged and hugged and cried and
were so happy, we had 2 days with them
then carried on with our trip
the last 5 days we spent with Susan
and Phil again that was one of the high
lights of our holiday/vacation.
I'm looking forward to a 4 week stay
with them in Jan. 2010.
in fact, I get very excited when I think
about it.
they both are such lovely people !!
The Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee
very impressive .
I met him in the "Christmasplace" in
Pigeon Forge, I asked him what he
was getting me for Christmas, but
he didn't answer !!I
And then, suddenly there in New Orleans
was Elvis,
asking me to sing with him, if he had
only known ........................!!!

hi there, i'm back from a fantastic 5 week holiday to the USA.
my friend and I hired a car at Raleigh (North Carolina) airport , travelled from there to Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina,
and back to North Carolina, where I met up we 3 internet friends,
Monica, with whom we stayed for one night,
Kristin my very dear friend from the www.Crossstitchcrazy.yuku.com
and Susan from the same board. what a pleassure to meet them, we did not stay with Kristin, her family is to big to have two guest as well,but she made us so
welcome and she is so sweet, but there again, I did not expect anything else, we have (cyber) known each other for a long time ,we stayed with Susan for 5
nights, Susan and I have been (Cyber) friends for a long time too, Susan and her husband and Kristin have now become real friends.!!
Kristin and Susan didn't know I was coming,
their reaction was fantastic, only Kristin called me a STINKER !! but she meant it in a nice way (I think!)
I'll put some pictures on soon.
other highlights were,The Smokey mountains,
Graceland, the Natchez trail, the Swamps,
Meeting fantastic people, the beauty and cleanliness of the country,New Orleans,
Nashville, Charlestown, and the Vanille Capuccino coffee from Mc.Donalds,!!!
we got addicted to that.
etc. etc.
We did in total 5723 miles !!

we started , with 8 friends, a DINERS club, we're going out dining to all sorts of restaurants, as long as it is foreign, Here we tried a Brand new Turkish
restaurant in Lelystad.

excellent food and service.

Don't you use a wet sponge for your envelopes..I always have alittle sponge, a sm cup of water when doing my mailing..I can not take that sticky glue taste,lol

We had a great Thanksgiving..we had 19 guests that day,lol Nothing was leftover ,lol Plus i had my sister w/me from Wed, til Sat..boy did i ever enjoy being w/ her..but was so heart broke to see her leave.
