I was born in Apeldoorn Holland, a long long time ago, the snow was falling and my mother said to the nurse when she saw me the first time... OMG she's ugly !!
I knew, but mum didn't have to say it so loud that I could hear it, did she ?
I had hair the colour of carrots, My Dad's fault, he had the same colour !!

when I grew up, my hair went very dark though !
School years I spent in Holland started with kinder garten, 6 years primary school, 2 years college (management course) 2 years domestic science (learning to be a housewife,) I hated it,
still don't like ironing and all the other scores,
and then 1 extra year to learn about childcare,

after I met Ken during a holiday with friends in Hoghton, I moved to England where Ken and I got married.
I took the British nationality.
I lived in England for 17 year,s I did an extra 6 weeks management course at Heskin Hall
near Chorley Lancs.
I have just turned 70 years of age, married to Kenneth age 83 for 31 years, we have no children ,we both feel and think young, I give hobby (any) lessons to 8 ladies every wednesday for the last 15 years.

well I'm over 70, have a bad back and have since 2 years a home help, she does all the heavy work and I do the lighter work !!
My hobbies are, counted cross stitching, reading, laptop, my friends, good food, in 2 words, "ENJOYING LIFE."

My favourite music is C&W, Willy Nelson, Mel Haggard, Ray Price,Vince Gill and Statler Brothers and trad. Jazz
favourite TV programms, Eastenders, My Family and Strictly Come Dancing
(Dancing with the stars) and any other interesting ,entertaining or funny programmes

I am now 71and have I lost my husband on March 1 st. 2008. I miss him terribly. He was the love of my life.

well that's me, not very interesting person but a happy one, I've had very many happy years with My Ken, and now I have some marvelous friends, near me and in cyber.
I love them all !!

hi there, i'm back from a fantastic 5 week holiday to the USA.
my friend and I hired a car at Raleigh (North Carolina) airport , travelled from there to Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and back to North Carolina, where I met up we 3 internet friends,
Monica, with whom we stayed for one night,
Kristin my very dear friend from the Crossstitchcrazymessageboard.yuku.com and Susan from the same board. what a pleassure to meet them, we did not stay with Kristin, her family is to big to have two guest as well,but she made us so welcome and she is so sweet, but there again, I did not expect anything else, we have (cyber) known each other for a long time ,we stayed with Susan for 5 nights, Susan and I have been (Cyber) friends for a long time too, Susan and her husband and Kristin have now become real friends.!!
Kristin and Susan didn't know I was coming,
their reaction was fantastic, only Kristin called me a STINKER !! but she meant it in a nice way (I think!)
I'll put some pictures on soon.
other highlights were,The Smokey mountains,
Graceland, the Natchez trail, the Swamps,
Meeting fantastic people, the beauty and cleanliness of the country,New Orleans,
Nashville, Charlestown, and the Vanille Capuccino coffee from Mc.Donalds,!!!
we got addicted to that.
etc. etc.
I hope to return again early 2010.
