Hello Henny! Just stopping by to say hello to you. I hope all is well and that you have good days :) I have good days by the way,, if you look into my Facebook-profil you can watch what I`m doing... making dolls-clouds for my two lovely granddaughter's.
so many of those places are on my wish list, especially greece and portugal. and you don't find that the increased security measures have dimmed your love of travel? Original comment »
Reply from henny1936: Hi Fruitcake, sorry I'm a bit late, but no, I fully agree with the strict security, it's all done for our own safety. how are you doing ? I have no energy at all , very tired ,not wanting to do anything, etc but I think I found out that it are my painkillers (Percocet) which make me feel this way, so yesterday I stopped and hope that it will be better from now on, and of course one thing we all need desperately is SUNSHINE !! it's wet and windy here. i would like to get to know you a bit better, would you mind sending me your email address ? mimine is [email protected] hope your weekend is wonderful, hugs Henny
Reply from henny1936: OMG, where have I been ??/ are you sitting comfortably ? then I begin " I lived in England for 17 years, married a lovely Englishman, Lived in Holland been to Scotland ,Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Thech republic, Austria, Turkey, Greece (3X), Italy, Spain, Portugal (2X) , Kroatia, France, Belgium, and the States. (2X.) Favourite place of all ? The States and Greece a lot of countries but all of them are in Europe, we still have to fly everywhere but never more than 4 hours. to the States (North Carolina) is 8.30 min. flight and a 7 hour wait in Philadelphia to Raleigh NC. I like travelling and hope to be able to do it for a long time yet !!
henny, leonard is, i think, a very kind man. he is thoughtful (in both senses) and generous. he and kd clearly have a real rapport. it's fascinating that you listen only to them. i think you'll agree that their voices are exceptional in entirely different ways, but the thing which links them is that they reach out to the listener in a way which is impossible to ignore.
as for me, i'm not in the u.k. but in the states. i live in massachusetts, near boston. my forebears resided in england and scotland, but that was nearly 400 years ago!
Reply from henny1936: sorry Fruitcake, I just took it for granted that you lived in England , I think because of Wendy. My friend Dikkie (on my Profile) and I are starting to plan an other trip to the States for next year, we don't know exactly where we'll be going but planning is 99% of the fun. enjoy your day, speak to you soon. Henny.
henny, i've just seen this kind message! forgive me for not replying sooner.
yes, kd and leonard: what amazing talents and what a beautiful musical 'marriage' they've made. as you may know, after hearing kd do his hallelujah at the junos, he turned to his companion and said, i think we can retire that song now. the definitive version has been performed. quite a compliment!
i look forward to chatting with you, henny. be well.
Reply from henny1936: What a nice thing for Leonard to say, but then I think he is one of the kindest man I have ever seen on stage, I have his DVD Live in London, and I could just love that man , not in a "boyfriend" way, but just as a friend. and KD, brings goosepimples to my skin and tears to my eyes, but then again, I'm a sentimental old diddy !! I have hundreds of CD's, but only listen to these 2 people.! wel my friend, it;s time to make my tea, I'm getting a bit peckish ! may I ask you where you live in England , I used to live in Blackburn lancs. stinking old town but I've been very happy there. speak to you soon,
